Dr. Hannah MacAyeal is a Chicago native and knew she wanted to be a veterinarian from a young age. Her family had many dogs and (probably too many) cats! When she was 18, she moved to Philadelphia to study biology at the University of Pennsylvania, and stayed there to obtain her veterinary degree. After completing a one year rotating internship in Pennsylvania, she moved to Colorado to experience mountain living. She worked as an emergency veterinarian in the Denver metro area for five years. During the pandemic, she moved to New England and is thrilled to join the Mass Vet team!
During her free time, Dr. MacAyeal loves hiking in the mountains, running (training for her first marathon), oil painting, and chilling with her collie and 2 Cornish Rex cats.
